There are presently no open calls for submissions.

We are currently accepting story suggestions on the theme of Resilience. Under this theme you might find stories that feature elements of problem solving, caring for others, and learning from our mistakes, but do not restrict your research to these examples. The target audience for this programme will be 8-12 years old. This means we are looking for stories that could mostly be understood by and engaging to most children in that age bracket (key stage 2) in their content and language.

Stories can either be your own work, or stories in the public domain. Please refer to the Contributor Guidelines and Terms and Conditions before you submit a story, where you will find more specific information about how we select stories, including information about our age guidelines and examples of stories which have worked well in the past.

We are currently accepting submissions on a rolling basis and hope to respond to all applicants within three weeks of submission.

Successful applicants will be paid a one-off fee of £15 per accepted story. If successful, your story will be used as part of a curriculum of shared reading for mental wellbeing, launching digitally in Spring 2020.

Thanks, and best of luck,
